DRYOPTERIS WALLICHIANA

Dryopteris wallichiana, also known as the Wallichs Wood Fern, is a stunning deciduous fern that features young fronds of light green with dark black-brown midribs, forming a classic shuttlecock shape. Reaching up to 65cm, this fern brings elegance and structure to shaded or woodland garden areas.

It is particularly well-suited to dry shade under trees once established, although it takes several years to reach its full grandeur. Easy to grow and maintain, Dryopteris wallichiana is a must-have for gardeners looking to add a touch of refined beauty to shaded spots. Its striking form and contrasting frond colours make it a standout feature in any garden design.
