ERAGROSTIS AIROIDES

Eragrostis airoides (stouter than Panicum ‘Sprinkles’) is a compact, ornamental grass that produces large flower and seed heads that are so fine they resemble purple-pink smoke. Growing to a height of 35cm, this grass creates a soft, airy texture in the garden, adding movement and interest.

Native to Argentina, Eragrostis airoides thrives in well-drained soils and full sun, making it an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens, or naturalistic plantings. Its unique appearance and delicate seed heads provide a striking contrast to more robust plants, making it a versatile addition to any garden design focused on texture and form.
