Fargesia murielae is a refined, clump-forming bamboo ideal for hedging and screening, valued for its graceful, arching canes and dense evergreen foliage. It prefers a moisture-retentive, fertile, well-drained soil in sun or light shade and is best sited out of hot, drying winds. Forming a naturally tight clump rather than running, it makes a manageable living screen with year-round cover. Expect an eventual height of around 34m and a spread of about 1.52.5m in time, with a steady, moderate growth rate when well sited.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
