Fargesia robusta Formidable 5 Ltr pot

Fargesia robusta ‘Formidable’ is a clump-forming, non-invasive evergreen bamboo valued for its upright habit and dense foliage, making an excellent year-round screen or hedge. It grows well in sun or light shade in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil, and is noted for being reliably hardy. Expect an eventual height of about 45m with a natural clump spread of roughly 1.52.5m when mature.

Feeding time: spring Trimming time: spring (remove any dead, weak or damaged culms); late summer (light clip to shape after new shoots have hardened)

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
