Pyracantha ‘Orange Glow’ is a vigorous, spiny, evergreen firethorn valued for its small, dark green leaves, clusters of small white flowers in late spring to early summer, and abundant bright orange berries in autumn that are excellent for wildlife. Ideal trained against walls, fences or trellis as a wall shrub for year-round structure, it thrives in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. This climber requires a suitable support to establish and grow. When trained on a suitable support, it can reach approximately 4m in height and around 4m in spread over time, making a strong vertical feature and a reliable source of seasonal interest.
This climbing plant has been trained onto a supporting frame to create a neat, well-shaped specimen that is ready for planting. As it grows, new shoots can be guided and secured to continue developing its natural shape.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
